Libyan Municipal Guard: Egyptian veggies, fruits are inedible, we received no official ban yet
The Head of the media bureau of the Municipal Guard in Tripoli, Yousif Al-Giloushi, said the guard has not received an official ban to be slammed on Egyptian vegetables and fruits, which have been proved to contain banned material and viruses that can cause serious diseases.
Speaking to Press Solidarity on Saturday, Al-Giloushi said the Municipal Guard is monitoring the markets, shops and pharmacies in order to single out any expired products, stressing that there are no official orders to monitor any kind of products but they only try to ban some products mentioned on social media.
It is worth mentioning that the US Food and Drugs Organisation revealed that some Egyptian vegetables and fruits contain banned materials that cannot be used by human beings as they were irrigated with water containing human waste and materials used to help store human corpses.
