Libyans massed in public squares to protest French intervention
Many Libyans in Tripoli and Misurata took to the streets on Friday to protest the blatant intervention of the French troops in the Libyan conflict.
In Tripoli’s Martyrs Square and in Misurata’s one as well, many Libyans marched holding slogans denouncing foreign (especially French) intervention in the Libyan issue by backing up Khalifa Haftar’s Dignity Operation and by sending g military personnel into Libya to violate its sovereignty.
The Libyan citizens called on both the Government of National Accord and the UNSMIL to speak out against the current violation of Libyan sovereignty and make sure the ongoing support by France, Britain and Italy for Haftar’s dignity Operation ends.
Other protesters held slogans calling on the Presidential Council to step down if it cannot end the foreign intervention for Haftar’s forces.
