Clashes in Al-Jumhuriyah Bank in Bab Ben Ghashir

Heavy fire exchange took place Monday in one of the branches of Al-Jumhuriyah Bank in Bab Ben Ghashir area in Tripoli between an armed group that stormed the bank and security personnel.
Sources and eyewitnesses said that the armed group opened fire on the security staffers and wanted to go in and grab out the cash from inside the bank’s vault amid the many customers awaiting in queue.
This robbery attempt comes as all banks across the country have closed their doors to public over lack of cash, which caused an outrageous wave of dissatisfaction among citizens.
