Dignity Operation attacks Zueitina oil terminal in Ajdabia
The Commander of the Ajdabia administrative border, Basheer Bu Thafirah, said the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) and their forces foiled the Dignity Operation forces’ attack on Zueitina oil terminal in the city.
Bu Thafirah said Saturday that the attack came on Friday by the forces led by Muftah Shaglouf who is appointed by the Dignity Operation to secure the oil facilities, pointing out that the reasons behind the attack is their rejection of reopening the terminal and restart of oil production, which was decided by the Presidential Council and the leader of the PFG, Ibrahim Jodran, in a deal that some said was based on a secret payment.
He added that Shaglouf-led forces are positioned 12 km away from Zueitina oil terminal and that the clashes have stopped, saying some elders and notables from the districts near Zueitina are trying to convince the attackers to avoid the district such a fight.
The leader of Dignity Operation, Khalifa Haftar, appointed Muftah Shalgouf to carry out an armed clashes to attack and control oil ports, Al-Wahat district and Ras Lanuf and Brega as well as Ben Jawad.
