European Court says Uber is a cab firm
The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled against Uber’s claim of being a digital company labeling it as a transportation corporation.
Uper, which allows customers to hire a private driver to take them to their destinations, disputed claims of it being a cab firm saying it is an information service that helps people connect with each other.
The case started after Uber was told to obey local taxi rules in Barcelona.
