NOC: Libya’s oil production takes a leap and hits 500 thousand bpd
The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli, Mustafa Sanallah, said Thursday Libya’s oil output has jumped into 551 thousand barrels per day (bpd).
Sanallah said also said yesterday that the NOC expects the oil production will be around 900 thousand bpd, which would be the highest rate of oil output since June 2013.
This new leap in oil production comes after the NOC has restored control of the oil crescent following the seizure of Khalifa Haftar’s Dignity Operation forces of the oil terminals and fields in there last month.
Simce then, the NOC has reopened the oil terminals for oil industry and announced the end of force majeure in all of the key terminals in the oil crescent.
