Ramadan is a holy month in which all Muslims around the world fast from the sunrise to the sunset as part of the five pillars of Islam. By fasting this long period of time daily around the whole month, Muslims try to get closer to abiding by the Islamic teachings to become closer to Allah. They do that by being so charitable and helpful to others, especially to the needy among their communities alongside fasting from sunrise to sunset.
