Star Wars: The Last Jedi scores $450m
Star Wars: The Last Jedi film grossed more than $450m in global box office on its opening weekend.
The latest film from the Star Wars franchise was well received by both fans and critics, who lavished the film with praise and positive reviews.
The Last Jedi is now the second all-time grossing film in North America, after banking $220m from box offices in the US and Canada, only behind the previous installment from the same franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It is the last film by actress Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), who passed away in 2016.
