Italy to provide Libya’s Navy with 11 boats for better sea watch procedures

The Italian Defence Minister has revealed that her country will provide the Libyan Navy with 11 boats after the coastguards finish their training program that is brokered by the EU’s Operation Sophia.

“Italy is going to provide 11 boats for the Libyan coastguards in order for them to be ready to operate in their sea borders.” The Italian Defence Minister added.

The EU’s Operation Sophia has started training the Libyan coastguards (80 ones) onboard an Italian ship in the open sea.
