Libyan forces capture key Sirte’s Campo neighbourhood from IS grip
The Misurata-led forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous declared Campo (Al-Manara) neighbourhood void of IS militants as they captured it Sunday morning, the media office of the operation announced.
The Misurata-led forces attacked IS radicals from the western frontline and alongside Jizah neighbourhood as well as the eastern frontline nearby the 600 Buildings neighbourhood, where IS militants are hiding out as their last hub, the media office added.
On Friday, 14 of the Libyan forces were killed and over 60 others were injured in clashes inside the Campo neighbourhood with IS militants.
