7 of Libyan forces killed and over 60 injured in clashes with IS in Sirte

Fighters from forces aligned with Libya's new unity government fire anti-aircraft guns from their vehicles at Islamic State positions in Algharbiyat

The Libyan forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous have advanced into more parts of the last hideout for IS militants in Sirte, Neighbourhood 3, using heavy shelling and backed up by heavy airstrikes.

On the other hand, Misurata Central Hospital reported that Saturday clashes led to the killing of over 7 fighters from Misurata-led forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous, the military operation appointed by the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA), adding that over 60 others were injured.

The media office of the forces in Sirte announced that they captured Wihda Bank branch and the branch of the central bank of Libya as well as the Madina hotel building near the hideouts of IS remaining militants in Neighbourhood 3.
