The most notorious humans’ smuggler handed over to Italy
The most notorious humans’ smuggler, Jahdigo Mirid, was handed Wednesday morning to Italian authorities coming onboard a plane that landed in Ciampino Airport.
The smuggler Mirid, is considered one of the human-trafficking bosses and is specialized in smuggling illegal immigrants from different African countries to Europe via Libya.
Mirid was arrested in Sudan on May 24 and was handed today to the Italian authorities to face charges of human smuggling and gang works as well as many criminal charges.
