Kobler tells Al-Sweihli: Arms ban to be lifted once UN is assured about forces fighting ISIS

The UN delegate to Libya, Martin Kobler, stressed that the Security Council would lift the arms embargo on Libya for the Misurata forces under the command of the Presidential Council in their fight against ISIS in Sirte once it guarantees and gets assured that those forces are submitted totally to the Chief Commander of the Libyan Army represented by the Presidential Council of the GNA.
In a meeting with the President of the Supreme State Council, Abdel-Rahman Al-Sweihli, Kobler also condemned the bombing of civilians on Derna by Dignity Operation (Karama) forces, which killed two – a father and his son – and stressed that it is against humanity to strike civilians in Derna or any other Libyan city.
