AL-Sallabi is conducting mediation among Libyan conflicting factions in Algeria
The Libyan member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) and member of the Libyan Homeland Party, Ali Al-Sallabi, is conducting mediation efforts in Algeria among a number of Libyan factions that are part of the solution to the Libyan crisis, according to the Huffington Post.
AL-Sallabi met with many Libyan political stakeholders in Algeria, according to the American newspaper.
He met with the Prime Minister of the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Serraj, the leader of the Operation Dignity Khalifa Haftar when he was in Algeria, the Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government, Khalifa Al-Ghwail, and others.
The Huffington Post said that the mediation and discussions brokered by Al-Sallabi are sponsored by the Algerian government in a bid to end the current Libyan political deadlock.
