171 Nigerian immigrants repatriated from Libya under supervision of IOM
171 Nigerians were deported from Libya on Tuesday and arrived in their home country as part of the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) assistance program.
Reports from Nigeria said that the deported Nigerian migrants arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
Previously, a batch comprising 161 Nigerians were repatriated from Libya after they had been stranded en route to Europe.
The new sets of returnees were brought back by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya.
