Operation Dignity: No peaceful demonstrations without prior permit
The so-called General Command of Operation Dignity in eastern Libya has banned peaceful demonstrations in the all Libyan regions, saying such kinds of protests should be permitted by security clearances first.
The spokesman of the Operation Dignity forces, Ahmed Al-Mesmari, said – according to Bayda-based Libyan News Agency – that all demonstration, protests and sit-ins in all of the Libyan cities must be permitted by the “Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army, Abdelraziq Al-Nadhori.”
Earlier this week, Operation Dignity forces, led by Khalifa Haftar, prevented members and followers of the Federalist Bloc in eastern Libya to hold a demonstration in Benghazi squares, kicking them out by force and under weapons’ threats.
