Libyans suffer from long-hour power outages with soaring temperatures

Libyans have welcomed back a new summer this week but with the same old habits and disappointments.
The capital and other southern cities in Libya saw a mounting heat wave that reached over 44 degrees along with power outages that varied from one place to another.
Some parts of Tripoli saw over six hours of power outage at the peak of the heat wave forcing most of the youth and families to go to the beaches and cool off by swimming.
GECOL gave many reasons for the failure to provide power and warned that it needs fuel and gas from the NOC 24/7 to face the heat challenge this summer.
