Al-Sweihli and German Ambassador to Libya discuss political limbo

The Head of the Libyan High Council of State (HCS) Abdel Rahman Al-Sweihli, has met with the German Ambassador to Libya, Christian Buck, in Tripoli.
The meeting that took place Tuesday discussed issues of joint interests between Libya and Germany and the latter’s support for Libya on different levels amid the current political and military conflicts in the country.
“We are hoping to see a bigger role for Germany in Libya and to see Germany’s assistance in bringing back stability and security to the country.” Al-Sweihli said, according to the media office of the HCS.
Whereas the German Ambassador reiterated his country’s commitment to helping Libya and to pushing forward the political process in Libya.
“Germany values the meeting that took place in Rome between the HCS’s Head and the House of Representatives’ Speaker, Aquilah Saleh.” The Ambassador added.
