Manchester bomber was radicalised in Britain, brother confesses in Libya
Manchester bomber Salman Abedi was radicalised while living in the UK two years before his deadly attack, The Libyan Deterrent Force announced.
Abedi’s brother Hashem, who was arrested in Tripoli in the wake of last month’s attack, knew the 22-year-old was planning something, counter-terror official Ahmed bin Salem said.
Hashem, aged 20, said Abedi became radicalised while living in Manchester in 2015, Ahmed Bin Salem – an official at the force – told the Associated Press.
“He had bought equipment for the attack in Britain, though he did not know where it would be carried out.” He also tolf Reuters.
