Tripoli International Airport receives first flight since 2014

The first ever landing of an airplane since 2014 took place in Tripoli International Airport on Tuesday.
The airplane was for the Head of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Serraj and his delegation coming from Ethiopia.
Al-Serraj was attending the African Union summit in Addis Ababa.
This new landing is the first since the airport had been destroyed in the war in Tripoli between Misrata (Libya Dawn) forces and Zintan forces in July 2014.
