Salabi calls for elections laws before polls
The Libyan religious cleric Ali Salabi said Tuesday that before talking about elections, there must be an elections law in Libya that can regulate the process.
Salabi added on Tuesday that in order for the road map of Al-Serraj to be considered, Libyans must go back to the judiciary system and devise a law that can regulate the whole electoral process.
Al-Serraj proposed in his statement last Saturday a new road map that necessitates holding parliamentary and presidential elections in next March and a ceasefire in all cities across Libya.
Many reactions were delivered on the road map, with some approving and others disapproving the idea; however, no official reaction has been made yet except the rejection of the HoR Speaker, Aquilah Saleh.
