Libya’s state oil company hails arrest of “King of Smuggling”

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Libya has welcomed the arrest of the most wanted human, fuel smuggler and drug dealer in the country by Special Deterrent Force (SDF) in Tripoli.
The SDF announced Thursday that it had arrested the most wanted smuggler Fahmi Salim Bin Khalifa (A.K.A. King of Smuggling) as per an arrest warrant by the Attorney General’s Office.
“Smuggling operations are cross-border and organized crimes, and the criminal who was busted by the SDF is one important figure in those operations.” The NOC said on Saturday.
It also called for doubling up the efforts to fight such crimes and to protect as well as secure the borders of the country so that the rest of criminals can be brought to justice.
