Hariri ‘suspends’ resignation

After igniting a crisis, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has “suspended” his resignation that he announced while in Saudi Arabia two weeks ago.
Hariri, now in Lebanon, explained suspending his resignation as a response to Lebanese President Michel Aoun’s request to “put it on hold ahead of further consultations”.
In recent days, Hariri continued to deny allegations that Saudi Arabia forced him to resign and apprehended him in an effort to limit the influence of Iran and its Lebanese surrogate Hezbollah, which is a part of national unity government formed by Saad Hariri.
