Libyan Navy: 121 migrants rescued off Garabulli shores
A total of 121 illegal immigrants were rescued off the coast of Libya late Monday, including women and children.
The rescue operation was conducted offshore of Garabulli, 60 kilometers east of the Libyan capital Tripoli, and the immigrants were brought to the Anti-Illegal Migration Authority.
According to the Libyan Navy, 16,000 irregular migrants were rescued in 2017.
Libya has become the number one route for African migrants to reach Europe.
