The Central Bank of Libya to reopen money transfer electronic system

The Central Bank of Libya has decided to reactivate the foreign currency transfer electronic system for the public with defined regulations.
The CBL announced that the electronic system will be connected to the national ID number system so that all citizens receive fair transactions, whether a quick one via Money Gram and Western Union, or via other types of transactions like bonds or credit cards.
The CBL’s decision comes amid a remarkable lack of liquidity in the banks across the country, which triggered a very enraged wave of discontent among citizens.
