Tripoli Salvation Government blamed for garbage piles in the capital

Piles of litter are found in every nook in Tripoli, which made Tripoli look like a dunghill due to strike of public service companies, which are waiting for receiving salary payments from the government.

Rumor has it that the Municipality of Central Tripoli tried to make residents or shopkeepers pay for the garbage collecting campaign it recently launched, blaming the failure to clean up the capital’s streets on the lack of funding from the Salvation Government.

Earlier on February 27th, the Municipality announced that it had opened registration for local private companies fancying to be contracted fro the collection of garbage from the streets, which proves that the Municipality is unlikely to receive funding from the government any time soon.
