ISIS militants assault Misrata’s Abu Grein checkpoint
More than three fighters from a Misrata prominent brigade were killed Wednesday night in an attack carried out by some ISIS militants on Abu Grein security checkpoint, which lies at the eastern entrance of Misrata.
The checkpoint personnel were taken by surprise, yet they clashed with the ISIS militants and were able to kill three and arrest two of Moroccan nationality.
Misrata’s Abu Grein district sees some attempt by ISIS every now and then trying to infiltrate into the city coming from Sirte, their stronghold city.
