Federica Mogherini: Libya needs to endorse GNA, EU ready to sanction spoilers

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, said in a press conference that Libya is in need for the Government of National Accord and must endorse it and put it to work as soon as possible to solve the current deteriorated security and humanitarian situation.

She added that the EU informed the UN delegate, Martin Kobler, that we back up the Libyan dialogue and all what it would com up with in accordance with the dialogue parties’ statement.

The EU is ready to cooperate with the international community to encourage Libyans to bring stability to their country again under whatever cost, sadi Mogherini, adding that the EU has started to single out those figures who are hindering the political transition in Libya for deterring sanctions.
