GNC: We refuse attempts to usurp power by State Supreme Council

The General National Congress’s members held Tuesday evening a meeting session in Tripoli to reject and object to the State Supreme Council session that was held in the morning by their fellow GNC congressmen in Al-Mahari hotel in Tripoli.
“Their meeting is at odds with the constitutional declaration and it is illegal.” The GNC spokesman said in a televised statement.
The GNC said it decided to refer the Skhirat political agreement and all political sectors coming out of it to the Libyan judiciary system to utter the final word about the current division.
We urge all Libyan political parties and stakeholders to respond positively to this decision and let the Libyan judiciary system make the final verdict.
