Sebha: Tuareg and Tebu To Meet Next Week

The Chairman of Ubari’s Notables Council, Mr. Ahmed Matko, confirmed the accuracy of circulating reports on an imminent meeting in the city of Sebha between delegations from the two rival southern tribes – Tuareg and Tebu.
Mr. Matko explained that the two delegations – which are tasked with implementing the peace treaty signed in Doha last month – will discuss the arrangements of ceasefire, evacuating the places where armed groups are stationed, and re-opening the road between Sebha and Ubari.
“It’s expected that a neutral force made of Hasawna tribe will enter the city in order to secure it, under the observation of the ‘3rd Force’ – which is officially tasked with securing southern Libya by the Tripoli-based Chief of Staff.
