Libya–Turkey ties discussed as Saleh invited to Ankara

The Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met on Monday with Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement, the meeting covered the latest developments in Libya and the wider region, alongside a number of issues of mutual interest.

During the talks, Saleh received an official invitation to visit Turkey.

The meeting comes as part of ongoing diplomatic contacts between Libyan officials and international partners regarding political and regional developments.
