Ahmed Mitig says real national reconciliation is the key to strong economy
The deputy head of the Presidential Council of the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA) Ahmed Mitig said the road to building a strong and forceful economy in Libya starts with the first step, which is a real national reconciliation that includes all Libyans without any exception.
On his official Facebook page, Mitig added Saturday that this real reconciliation can be attained but it only needs solid national unity and a unanimous consensus on prioritizing Libya’s interest above all other things.
“This could come true as the GNa is still eager and is still working hard to strike fair balance among all the political stakeholders in the Libyan scene.” Mitig wrote.
Militarizing the country once again is not the solution for the crisis, Mitig indicated, adding that using violence and arms by some Libyan parties for partial interests can prolong freezing of the Libyan political process and consume Libya’s resources.
