Al-Koni praises Qatar’s support during meeting with ambassador in Tripoli

Musa Al-Koni, Vice-Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, held a meeting today with Qatar’s Ambassador to Libya, Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Zabin Al Dosari, to discuss recent advances in Libya’s political trajectory and chart a path towards credible national elections.
In a statement issued by the Presidential Council’s media office, Ambassador Al-Dosari reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for Libya’s political processes, emphasising that dialogue remains the most effective mechanism for overcoming national divisions and restoring stability.
Al-Koni expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s sustained commitment, highlighting that the Council is actively engaging with all political factions to reconcile differences and secure a comprehensive settlement. He underlined that the overarching aim is to pave the way for inclusive elections and to advance the national reconciliation process, which has already entered a mature phase.
This engagement underscores the deepening diplomatic ties between Libya and Qatar, and signals the mutual determination to foster unity, reconciliation, and a peaceful resolution to the political impasse.
