Al-Sweihli and British Ambassador to Libya discussed solution to political limbo

HCS’s Head Abdel Rahman Al-Sweihli and British Ambassador Peter Millett in Tripoli

The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Abdel Rahman Al-Sweihli, met Wednesday with the British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, in the presence of the HSC’s first deputy in Tripoli.

The meeting discussed the mutual relations between the two countries as well as the support for the Government of National Accord.

The UK Ambassador also discussed with Al-Sweihli the mechanisms needed to get the HCS and the House of Representatives to sit together and find ways out of the current political limbo.

The meeting also discussed Britain’s support for Libya in the political process as well as in ending any military escalations as well as in helping Libya recover its economy.
