Algerians detained in Libya return home
The Algerian ministry of foreign affairs confirmed on Monday that all Algerian citizens detained in the Libyan city of Zuwara have returned to Algeria on Sunday.
The spokesman for the ministry of foreign affairs, Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Sharif said “the consulate of Algeria in Qafsa was in charge of transporting the detainees from Libya to Tunisia and then Algeria.” Adding that this operation was ” handled in full coordination with the specialised Libyan authorities”
This comes after a group of Algerian citizens were held by the Passport Investigation Center in Zuwara, after their failed attempt to immigrate illegally to Italy.
