Bani Walid Municipality says the six Egyptians are now in Ras Lanuf on their way home
The Mayor of Bani Walid, Ali Al-Gurnatt said the six Egyptian nationals are now in Ras Lanuf on their way to Egypt, adding that they will be handed to the Egyptian authorities through the eastern region.
Al-Gurnatt said Bani Walid authorities freed the Egyptian nationals from an illegal local armed group and then coordinated with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to receive the six men from the eastern region.
It is worth mentioning that last May, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said six of its nationals were abducted in western Libya demanding to know their whereabouts and calling for their immediate release.
