Boris Johnson asked for $1m interview fee, says Tucker Carlson

American media personality Tucker Carlson has alleged that former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson demanded a $1 million payment in exchange for an interview about Ukraine. Speaking to Blaze Media, Carlson detailed the purported exchange with Johnson’s team.
According to Carlson, after Johnson publicly denounced him as “a tool of the Kremlin,” he sought an interview with the former prime minister. Carlson claims an adviser responded stating Johnson would agree to talk for a fee of $1m, payable in US dollars, gold, or bitcoin.
Comparing the situation to his recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Carlson pointed out that Putin had not requested any payment. He also criticised Johnson’s alleged role in Ukraine peace negotiations, claiming that Johnson had intervened to halt a potential peace deal at the US government’s request.
“I’m not defending Putin,” Carlson stated, “but it’s worth noting he didn’t ask me for a million dollars.”
