Bouras: premature political changes risk undermining stability

Member of the House of Representatives Rabia Bouras said that the absence of trust and a clear mechanism to implement the political roadmap poses a serious challenge to the success of the political process and all related tracks.
In remarks to Arabi21, Bouras stated that raising issues of political change or transition before agreeing on a constitutional basis would be a risky step that could revive divisions and polarisation among the parties.
She added that a partial or selective approach to changing sovereign positions opens the door to political interpretations and deals that undermine transparency and institutional balance.
Bouras stressed that the best way forward is to pursue a comprehensive and simultaneous reform process based on genuine national consensus, guided by competence and integrity, and away from any form of quota-sharing or narrow interests.
