China restores full diplomatic presence in Libya

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity has announced that the Chinese Embassy will resume its diplomatic operations from Tripoli, with its full diplomatic staff returning to the capital.
The move brings to an end nearly a decade in which the embassy had been operating remotely from outside Libya due to security conditions, while continuing to provide consular and administrative services to Libyan and Chinese nationals.
The Libyan–Chinese Joint Economic Chamber previously welcomed the embassy’s return, describing it as an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations, encouraging investment and revitalising economic cooperation between the two countries.
