Dabaiba reviews progress on 150,000-unit housing initiative

Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba met with Faisal Bin Dardaf, Director of the National Housing and Urban Development Program, to review the latest progress on the programme’s projects and ongoing work within the national reconstruction plan.
According to the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the meeting also discussed developments in the agreement between the programme and the Central Bank of Libya regarding the provision of funding for the Prime Minister’s initiative to construct 150,000 housing units. The talks covered additional procedures and understandings currently being coordinated between the two sides.
Dabaiba instructed all relevant government institutions to fully cooperate with the programme’s management and to address obstacles that may be delaying its work, in order to create suitable conditions for finalising implementation plans and launching the targeted housing projects.
He also emphasised the need to accelerate ongoing arrangements with the Central Bank to secure the required financing for the initiative to complete and deliver 150,000 housing units. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the project and providing the necessary guarantees to ensure it moves forward according to schedule, describing it as one of the country’s most significant housing and development efforts.
