Libya’s Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, announced on Saturday the launch of an initiative to administer oncology doses to cancer patients at home.

During the activities of the Libyan Multidisciplinary Conference on Urological Oncology, at the National Cancer Institute in Misrata, Dbeibah said that expertise from Turkey and Jordan will be sought to spare patients the trouble of traveling abroad for cancer doses and scale down expenses burdened by the state as a result of treatment abroad.

To improve medical services provided by the public health sector, the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity launched a program last March.

It pointed out that this program will be conducted by hosting visiting foreign and Arab doctors to perform advanced surgeries in various specialties at the specialized medical centers in Libya.
