Dignity Operation forces move to capture oil terminals
Military sources confirmed that Dignity Operation forces led by Khalifa Haftar captured Ras Lanuf, Essidra, and Brega key oil ports from the grip of Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG).
The spokesman of Dignity Operation, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said their forces started Sunday dawn an all-out offensive dubbed “Eastern Shield for Capturing Oil Ports”.
He added that Dignity Operation forces successfully seized the key ports of Essidra, Ras Lanuf, and Brega after the forces of the PFG led by Ibrahim Jodran withdrew from the ports upon heavy clashes.
“PFG forces were unable to thwart our forces’ fierce attack which came from three different frontlines.” Al-Mismari said, adding that all the checkpoints in western Ajdabiya are now under Dignity Operation control.
He also indicated that clashes are still ongoing and PFG forces still control Al-Zueitina port, where most of the fight is taking place currently.
