Family in rubble following foreign airstrike on Benghazi’s Ganfudah
Sources from Ganfudah neighbourhood in Benghazi told Libyan Al-Nabaa TV channel that UAE warplanes have carried out an airstrike on the civilians trapped in there, killing a father of a family and injuring his daughter.
The sources confirmed that the bombing targeted the family’s house and they are all trapped in the rubble of their house, with the father killed and the rest of the family still stuck under the destroyed house.
“We could hear the screams of at least two girls under the rubble.” Sources from the scene told Al-Nabaa TV.
Ganfudah has been besieged by Khalifa Haftar’s Operation Dignity forces for months with continuous bombing and airstrikes by Haftar’s air force backed up by Emirati, French and Egyptian warplanes, according to many leaks reported over the last two months.
