GNA’s Defense Minister reviews sea security at Tripoli’s Naval Base

Government of National Accord’s Minister of Defense, Mihdi Al-Barghathi, visited on Wednesday Tripoli Naval Base to review the security situation at the base and the tasks assigned to the security personnel in there.
Al-Barghathi also inspected modernization and maintenance of naval vessels so that they can assume their tasks in securing the Libyan coast.
He met several commanders of the navy and naval base and vessels. They briefed him on the role of the base in protecting Libyan territorial waters.
The minister as well praised the efforts of the staff, who awarded him with a shield of the base on board one of the vessels.
