Heavy shelling continues in Tripoli’s Janzour district

Armed groups from Wershefan have been reportedly shelling areas in Janzour and Sayyad where Fursan Janzour (Janzour Knights) Brigade is located.

According to sources from the media, Wehsefana armed groups of the Tribes Army are using medium and heavy weapon as well as tanks, mortars and Grad rockets in their attack on Fursan Janzour Brigade in Sayyad district western Tripoli.

According to previous reports, Fursan Janzour suffered a number of injuries among its forces and one death case, while there no reports about the Wershefana groups’ casualties.

Clashes in Janzour’s Sayyad and 71 Bridge checkpoint erupted on Thursday night between Fursan Janzour Brigade and armed groups of Tribes Army from Wershefan over an act of kidnap attempted by a Wershefana person against a person from Janzour.
