HoR Chief of Staff appoints Brigadiers Gen. as Mayor of Al-Kufra
Abdelrazik Al-Nathory, the military governor of the east and Chief of Staff of the HoR army, appointed Brigadier Gen. Al-Mabrook Al-Ghazwi as the mayor of Al-Kufra city to replace the elected mayor Muftah Khalil.
Al-Ghazwi was appointed after another military rank refused to take the job amid the angry voices that reject turning the civilian sectors into military ones.
This moves was preceded by a similar one in Benghazi and sparked outrage that the HoR and Dignity Operation leader, Khalifa Haftar, are trying to militarize the eastern region and strip it of its civilian institutions.
