HoR member wants GNA’s Defence Minister sued

The member of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR), Tariq Al-Jurooshi, has urged the Defence Minister of the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA), Mihdi Al-Barghathi, to turn himself in to the HoR’s authorities.
“We guarantee he would receive a fair trial.” Al-Jurooshi added, pointing out to the latest statements made by Al-Barghathi, in which he accused Khalifa Haftar of running the terminals by foreign mercenaries.
Al-Jurooshi also called on Al-Barghathi’s tribe to disown him if he did not turn himself in to the Haftar-led authorities, which he named the defence committee and the military judiciary, in the coming few days.
“Benghazi is a secure city and the kidnaps and murders happening in there are similar to those happening across the world.”
The Defence Minister of the UN-brokered Government of National Accord said that he blames the leader of the Operation Dignity forces, Khalifa Haftar, for all the assassinations and abductions in Benghazi, which he described as becoming a very unsafe place.
