House Speaker briefed on Libya election report

The Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, has obtained an initial assessment of the municipal council elections that took place on Saturday.
The report offers a thorough evaluation of electoral safeguards, provides an overview of voting procedures, and highlights key challenges observed during the process, Ean Libya reports.
The document emphasises Parliament’s supervisory role in safeguarding national interests and strengthening democratic practices, according to parliamentary sources.
The assessment forms part of the legislature’s broader initiative to enhance electoral transparency and identify areas for improvement in future polls, Ean Libya added.
