Kobler worried about arrest of three security committee members
The UN delegate to Libya, Martin Kobler, expressed great worries over the arrest of three members from the temporary security committee in Tripoli Sunday.
“The arrest of the three members from the security committee goes at odds with the UN Security Council resolution (2259) and aims at preventing the committee from carrying out its duties.” Kobler said.
Kohler also pointed out that the temporary security committee is an official body that works according to the UN-backed political agreement, calling on all the Libyan parties and security departments on the ground to fully cooperate with the committee to guarantee that its tasks is going properly and that its members are free and safe.
