Kufra official criticises UN refugee aid response

The head of Kufra’s emergency operations room, Ismail Al-Ayda, has claimed international organisations have delivered less than 10% of promised aid for Sudanese refugees in the municipality.
Speaking to Al-Ahrar TV, Al-Ayda said humanitarian assistance has failed to match the scale of displacement facing the southern Libyan city. He noted that refugee arrivals continue as conflict persists in neighbouring Sudan.
“The services provided by international organisations have not met the needs of the displacement crisis,” Al-Ayda stated.
